Pinellas sheriff's deputy sustains minor injuries in car crash

SEMINOLE – A sheriff's deputy was treated for minor injuries at a hospital Wednesday night after he was involved in a car crash at the intersection of 83rd Street and Park Boulevard, authorities said.

Deputy Patrick Milewsky, 54, was driving a 2011 Crown Victoria cruiser, when he collided with an SUV driven by Kerri Baker, 39, of Seminole. Baker and three passengers in her vehicle were not injured, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Milewsky was turning left onto Park Boulevard when Baker's vehicle struck the rear driver's side door of the cruiser. The sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team is looking into the crash, which happened at approximately 7:50 p.m.

No further information was immediately available.
