Plant City man, 23, killed in high-speed motorcycle crash

PLANT CITY — A 23-year-old motorcyclist died after losing control of his bike on Frank Griffin Avenue Sunday evening.

At 6:35 p.m., Jayques Andre Wright of Plant City was driving his 1993 Suzuki motorcycle west on Frank Griffin Avenue near Hunter Road at high speed, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said Wright was not wearing a helmet. He died at South Florida Baptist Hospital.
