Plant City man dies after his three-wheeled motorcycle hits car

BRANDON — A 72-year-old Plant City man driving a three-wheeled motorcycle died after a Monday afternoon crash.

Andrew Stoeth Jr. and his wife, Janis Stoeth, 64, were traveling south on Parsons Avenue in a 1988 Goldwing Trike just before noon.

Laurie Ervin, 42, was traveling north in a 1998 Ford Taurus and tried to turn left onto Windhorst Road E when the two vehicles collided.

Andrew Stoeth Jr. was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he died. His wife was taken to the same hospital, where she was listed in serious condition Monday.

Ervin was taken to Brandon Hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
