ST. PETERSBURG — Police identified the transient found Monday morning at St. Anthony's Hospital as Joseph James Ferron, 54.
It's unclear how Ferron died, police said, but foul play is not suspected. The Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office found no evidence of homicidal violence.
Ferron was discovered by a groundskeeper about 8:20 a.m. Monday in some bushes near a Gazebo in a park at Ninth Avenue N and 12th Street N. He was fully clothed, and blankets were found nearby, police said.
