Police seek information in fatal New Port Richey hit-and-run

NEW PORT RICHEY — Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that left a 50-year-old woman dead on Saturday.

About 11:20 p.m. police responded to a crash on Delaware Avenue, just west of Van Buren Street. Patricia Senkbeil Skibinski of New Port Richey was in the road. Police said a car going west on Delaware hit Skibinski and fled. Skibinski was taken to Community Hospital, where she died.

Witnesses described the car as a black, older-model sport utility vehicle. Police ask that anyone with information call Traffic Homicide Investigator Christopher Denton at (727) 841-4550, ext. 306.
