PSTA bus involved in a crash in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG — A Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus was involved in a crash with another vehicle Thursday morning.

The bus collided with a pick-up truck at the intersection of southbound Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street and Pinellas Point Drive S., according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, around 11:16 a.m.

No one was seriously injured, but two people were taken to Bayfront Medical Center: the female driver of the bus and the male driver of the pick-up. Both were in stable condition when they were taken to the hospital.

No one else aboard the bus was injured. A male passenger in the pick-up declined to be taken to a hospital, according to Fire Rescue.

The accident is under investigation.
