CELEBRATION — A 25-year-old Riverview man was killed early Monday morning when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle and struck a guardrail on Interstate 4 in Osceola County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Angel Velasquez was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his SUV as it traveled westbound on the interstate and attempted to exit at U.S. 192.
His four passengers were injured, one of them — Yonatan Pichardo, 23, of Brandon — critically.
Autopsy results were pending, and the single-vehicle crash remained under investigation.
