Ruskin woman dies in traffic crash

RUSKIN — A Ruskin woman died early Tuesday morning after running a stop sign and driving into the path of an oncoming car, deputies said.

Cristy Jean Brock, 41, was traveling north on SE 30th Street near 21st Avenue at 7:20 a.m. when she did not stop at a stop sign, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said.

Brock, who was driving a 1992 Camaro, continued north on 30th Street when Vician Bolan's 2006 Chevrolet HHR struck her.

Brock, who lived at 3201 New Beginnings Lane, died at the scene, deputies said. Bolan, 59, also of Ruskin, was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released.
