A 91-year-old Ruskin woman was killed Friday when her car hit the back of another vehicle that was stopped at a red light in Sun City Center, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Investigators gave this account of the crash: Stefka Bidak McAuliffe was driving west on Sun City Boulevard about 5:45 p.m. when she hit a car ahead of her that had stopped for the traffic light at Sun City Center Plaza.
Her car, a 2000 Chevy Metro, hit the back of a 1999 Buick Century driven by David M. Ruhl, 40, of Ruskin. Ruhl, of Ruskin, was not hurt.
McAuliffe died at the scene.
