CLEARWATER
A 45-year-old Safety Harbor woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of McMullen-Booth Road and Main Street Friday morning.
Dianne Paulsen was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Paulsen was in a Ford compact car and was turning south onto McMullen-Booth from Main Street when she was hit by a northbound Dodge pickup truck driven by 41-year-old Joel Valerius of Palm Harbor about 9 a.m.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, the FHP said.
Investigators were still investigating Friday afternoon to determine which driver ran the light, said FHP spokesman Sgt. Steve Gaskins.
The collision closed all northbound lanes for about two hours.
