Seffner man dies in crash on State Road 60 in Tampa

TAMPA — A Seffner man died early Saturday morning after he lost control of his vehicle on State Road 60, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jessie Allen Wilkes, 29, was driving east on State Road 60 near Orient Road at about 3 a.m. when he veered off the road and onto the grass shoulder. His car then overturned, and hit a metal fence and a parked car, FHP said.

His 2000 Acura Integra came to rest on its right side.

Wilkes, who died at the scene, was not wearing a seat belt, FHP said.

The incident remains under investigation.
