Semi carrying cars crashes on I-275 in Tampa

TAMPA — Two cars fell onto the road from a semitrailer truck carrying several vehicles after a Ford F-150 cut off the semi on Interstate 275, state troopers say.

Witnesses told investigators that at about noon near the downtown Tampa exit, a dark-colored Ford that was towing an enclosed trailer in the southbound lanes cut off the semi.

The Ford's trailer hit the semi, which jackknifed, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Ford drove away. The semi driver had minor injuries but no one else was hurt.
