Seminole pedestrian hit by car, suffers serious injuries

SEMINOLE - A 34-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday night after he was struck by a car on Seminole Boulevard just south of 54th Avenue, officials said.

Timothy G. DeCamp Jr. was crossing westbound Seminole Boulevard on foot at about 6:45 p.m. when a late model Grand Prix going northbound struck him, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

DeCamp, who was not inside the crosswalk when he tried to cross the road, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with serious injuries, the sheriff's office said.

The driver of the vehicle, Jasmina Woltcheck, 44, of Madeira Beach, was not injured.

The sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the case. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, officials said Tuesday night.

TAMPA — This summer, the Lightning could trade one of its most dynamic young players ever.

    Keep him.

Jonathan Drouin is live bait. The Lightning is ready to run the hook through him and cast him out there again. Drouin has enough talent for the Lightning to meet some defensive needs in a deal.

Before examining the details, let's propose a question:

This is a handout request to accompany school portraits of Joey Boylan, who died of a drug overdose and who is being written about in John Romano's column for Sunday. We'd like to run a mug of Joey with the column. Any of the first three attached pictures would be fine to use. We don't need them all. Just pick your favorite portrait and put that in the system. Thanks.
