Man dies after ejection from truck on SR 52
A 20-year-old Shady Hills man was killed early Tuesday after being thrown from the pickup truck he was driving on State Road 52 near the entrance to Pasco Trails equestrian neighborhood.
Ronald Ray Foxworth of 17440 Valencia Drive was traveling west on the highway at 12:50 a.m. when he lost control of his 1987 Toyota truck just east of Secretariat Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The truck veered onto the north grass shoulder and overturned, ejecting Foxworth, and came to a stop atop a barbed wire fence, the patrol said. Foxworth was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. The patrol did not release the cause of the accident. The case remained under investigation Wednesday.
