ST. PETERSBURG — Southbound Interstate 275 was reopened after a three vehicle crash shutdown traffic on Monday afternoon, according to St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue.
The crash took place at about 2:28 p.m. just south of the exit ramp for 22nd Avenue N. The southbound lanes were reopened by 3:30 p.m.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash, an SUV, was quickly engulfed in flames, according to Lt. Joel Granata. One person was taken to the hospital.
The crash will be investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
