Man dies after car collides with bus

The man who was seriously injured when his car collided with a school bus Monday died Tuesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Michael McCall, 63, of Spring Hill was taken by helicopter to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson after his Ford Mustang veered from a curve about 2:20 p.m. on Elgin Boulevard, east of Sterling Hill Boulevard, and crashed into a school bus, the Highway Patrol said. There were no children on the bus, but driver Thomas Kehoe, 62, of Spring Hill was treated for minor injuries at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill. An adult passenger was uninjured.

McCall was driving his Mustang west on Elgin when he traveled into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with the Hernando County school bus, the highway patrol said.
