Spring Hill woman dies of injuries suffered in Saturday motorcycle crash

SPRING HILL — A 37-year-old woman who was thrown from the back of a motorcycle during a crash Saturday died from her injuries Wednesday at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kristin Lynn Piccirilli of Spring Hill was riding westbound on Forest Oaks Boulevard on a 2003 Harley-Davidson with her husband, Anthony Piccirilli, about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when the motorcycle was struck by a 2001 Daewoo sedan driven by Danielle Luciana Ortiz, 34, of Spring Hill.

Anthony Piccirilli, who was also taken to the hospital, was released later that day. Neither was wearing a helmet, according to the FHP.

Ortiz and her passenger, Lucas Luebbers, 13, were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
