ST. PETERSBURG — A 24-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday after he lost control of a motorcycle on 36th Avenue N. Justin Lee Morrison of St. Petersburg was driving a 2003 Honda motorcycle in the 4700 block of 36th Avenue N early Thursday afternoon when he approached a bend in the road, tried to slow down, hit the ground and was thrown off the bike, according to St. Petersburg police. He was not wearing a helmet when he slid about 100 feet before stopping, officers said, and was transported to Bayfront Medical Center where he was listed Friday in critical condition.
