BROOKSVILLE — A 23-year-old St. Petersburg man died early Tuesday after his car left Interstate 75 and hit a tree.
About 4:30 a.m., Onchanthoeum Am was northbound on I-75 when his car veered off the west side of the road. Troopers said he over-corrected, crossed over the road and grass shoulder before hitting a tree near Mile Marker 304.
Am was pronounced dead at 4:55 a.m.
Troopers said Am was wearing his seat belt.
