ST. PETERSBURG — Police identified the driver of a pickup who died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday as William Charles Turner, 50.
Turner died after the truck he was driving ran off the road and crashed into a brick wall. Police said the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was speeding on Fifth Avenue N about 5 p.m. when it crossed the intersection of Park Street and hit the wall and a tree.
Turner, of 4936 Fourth Ave. N in St. Petersburg, died at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation. No other details were released.
