ST. PETERSBURG — Rescue workers pulled a man through the back of a van Friday morning after the vehicle collided with a pickup truck.
The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. at Fifth Avenue N and 16th Street, said Lt. Joel Granata, Fire Rescue spokesman.
Granata did not have information on how the crash happened or who was involved.
The van ended up on its side, while the Chevrolet Silverado was upright with front-end damage. One patient was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, and another was taken to Bay Pines VA. One person refused treatment.
Workers closed a few blocks near the intersection as they investigated the scene.
No further information was available.
