Pickup truck, patrol car collide at Temple Terrace intersection

A pickup truck flipped Saturday afternoon in a collision with a deputy's patrol car in Temple Terrace, but no life-threatening injuries were reported.

Taretha S. Wilson, 67, of Cocoa was driving south on 56th Street and turned in front of Hillsborough County sheriff's Deputy John Clark, 49, who was going north, according to a preliminary sheriff's report.

The patrol car hit the truck's passenger side, causing it to flip, the report said.

Wilson was taken to Tampa General Hospital for a hand injury and the deputy, a 20-year veteran, was taken to Florida Hospital Tampa for an exam.
