The intersection of Drew Street and N Fort Harrison Avenue in Clearwater closed following a crash that involved a Sunstar ambulance unit, according to the Clearwater Police Department.

Preliminary information shows that the Sunstar was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light at 7 a.m., police said. The impact caused the ambulance to flip onto its side in the roadway.

The ambulance did not have a patient inside and was not responding to a call at the time of the crash, police said.

No injuries were reported and all lanes have reopened.
