TAMPA — The driver of a car that struck a power pole Tuesday morning on N Nebraska Avenue died at the scene of the crash.
At 10:20 a.m., Miguel Coira-Villar, 63, of Tampa ran onto the concrete median while driving southbound on Nebraska at E 124th Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage careened across the northbound lanes and into a Tampa Electric wooden power pole on the east side of the road, troopers said.
The patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
