Tampa man dies in Brandon crash

A Tampa man died Friday night after rear-ending another vehicle in Brandon while going about 50 mph, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Daniel E. Selzer, 32, was driving a 2010 Honda Accord south on Lakewood Drive at about 8 p.m. when he failed to slow down for a slower moving 1999 Ford Expedition, deputies said.

Selzer struck the back of the SUV just north of the intersection of Windhorst Road.

The driver of the SUV, Jennifer Renee Louisy, 31, of Tampa, and her three passengers, which included a man and two children, were not injured.
