TAMPA — A 71-year-od man died Wednesday, more than a week after being involved in a crash on Interstate 275.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Miguel Erasmo Frau of Tampa was trying to exit southbound I-275 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. on Nov. 22 when he lost control. He hit the guardrail, then bounced back into the outside lane.
Stephanie Robbin McGovern, 37, of Lutz crashed into Frau's Buick Lasabre with her Ford Expedition. The Lasabre skidded back into the guardrail, striking on the driver's side.
Troopers said Frau initially was cited for the crash. But he died from the injuries at St. Joseph's Hospital.
