Tampa motorcyclist dies after losing control on I-75 ramp

TAMPA — A Tampa man died Thursday after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Brian Parilla Jr., 28, was driving north on the Interstate 75 entrance ramp from State Road 60 about 3 p.m. Thursday when his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle overturned, the FHP said. Parilla, whom authorities say was wearing his helmet, flew off the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. He was flown to Tampa General Hospital, where he died. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor, the FHP said.
