WESLEY CHAPEL — A Tampa man was killed Saturday when the motorcycle he was riding drove off a Pasco County road and overturned in a ditch, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
James Henry Barrow, 56, was riding north about noon on a 2004 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide on Morris Bridge Road, troopers said. As he approached the intersection of Mandrake Road, Barrow failed to negotiate a curve and left the road before the bike overturned.
Barrow was not wearing a helmet and was thrown off the bike, authorities said. He died at the scene.
An investigation to determine why Barrow drove off the road was ongoing. The crash was not believed to be alcohol-related, authorities said.
