MANGO — A 62-year-old man was killed Thursday night after being struck by a car while trying to cross a road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 9:15 p.m. on U.S. 92 west of Williams Road.
Albert Lee Harris, of Tampa, was trying to cross U.S. 92 when he walked into the eastbound lane and was struck by a Toyota Tacoma driven by Richard C. Antross, troopers said.
Harris died at the scene, troopers said. Antross, 52, of Seffner, was not hurt.
