Tampa motorcyclist dies in crash

TAMPA — A Tampa motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening as he drove in the Carrollwood area, deputies say.

Reece Yamil Alvarez, 21, was riding a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R600 when he lost control for unknown reasons and drove off Nixon Road, just north of Lynn Road.

He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he died, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. Traffic detectives are investigating.
