TAMPA — A motorcyclist died early Sunday after colliding with a van pulling out from a driveway, authorities said.
Around 3:30 a.m., Javier Mercado-Cebollero, 27, was driving a Suzuki west on Erlich Road near Hutchinson Road, which is north of Carrollwood, when a Chevrolet Astro van pulled into his path, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. He died on the scene.
The driver of the van, Elias Tenorio, 45, of Tampa was pulling out of a private driveway and attempting to make a left turn.
The Sheriff's Office said the crash remains under investigation.
