Apartment shooting leaves one dead

Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies were investigating a late-night shooting that left one man dead Saturday.

Details were sparse, but sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway said about 10:30 p.m. a man in his 20s was fatally shot at the Hidden Lake Apartments, near the intersection of W Waters and N Armenia avenues.

Callaway did not release the man's identity or offer a motive for the killing.
