Three school buses crash in Hillsborough; four students injured

TAMPA — Two Hillsborough County school buses crashed in separate incidents Thursday and four students were taken to a hospital, authorities said.

A school bus and a HARTline bus collided at 7:41 a.m. at Memorial Highway and Kelly Road. No students were aboard the school bus, but several HARTline passengers complained of injuries, sheriff's officials said.

Another crash happened at 7:13 a.m. at Palm River Road and 50th Street involving a bus heading to Dowdell Middle School. Four students were transported for treatment.

The bus hit a van, knocking the van on its side, according to Bay News 9 and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Another crash involving a school bus happened at E Palm Avenue and N Lamar Avenue about 7 a.m., according to Tampa police. No kids were on board.
