DADE CITY — A Dade City man died Wednesday afternoon when his truck hit several fence posts and burst into flames, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Donnie Morgan, 59, was driving a 2010 Toyota Sequoia sport utility vehicle east on Florrie Mae Lane near Parrish Grove Road about 2:40 p.m. For unknown reasons, troopers said, the Sequoia left the roadway and traveled along a fence line, hitting posts before coming to a stop. That's when it ignited.

Morgan died at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, troopers said.
