A man and woman from St. Petersburg died early Monday when their car collided with another near Jacksonville.
Larry Jackson, 57, was headed east shortly after midnight on Interstate 10 in Baker County when his Chevrolet Impala clipped the rear of a Honda Accord, according to the Florida Times-Union newspaper.
The Impala went out of control and flipped into a tree. Jackson and his passenger, Patricia Spriggs, 59, were killed. Both were wearing seat belts.
The driver of the Accord was not injured.
Family members of Spriggs and Jackson could not be reached for comment.
