Two pedestrians hurt in U.S. 19 crash in Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK — Authorities were investigating a crash Thursday night that left two pedestrians seriously injured.

Police said that at about 9:30 p.m., a man and a woman were hit by a car as they tried to cross U.S. 19 near 78th Avenue N.

The man suffered life-threatening injuries. The woman also was injured. Both were taken to local hospitals.

Traffic near the scene was slowed as authorities responded to the scene.

No other information was available late Thursday night.
