Two people were seriously injured in a one-car crash Saturday morning in Ruskin, authorities said.
Melgin Andony Colindres-Baquedano, 24, of Ruskin, was driving a 1994 Ford Mustang about 7:30 a.m. on E Shell Point Road near Fifth Street NE when he crossed the road and swerved onto the shoulder, hitting a tree, then continuing until he hit a second tree, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Colindres-Baquedano and his passenger, Lazaro Cayetano Hernandez-Flores, 46, were both seriously injured and flown to Tampa General Hospital, said the Sheriff's Office, which suspects the wreck is alcohol-related.
