Wesley Chapel man dies after CVS parking lot crash

WESLEY CHAPEL — A 37-year-old man died Thursday morning after crashing his sport utility vehicle in a CVS Pharmacy parking lot.

Carl Yeiser McGill, Jr., was driving outside the store at State Road 54 and Old Pasco Road about 10 a.m. when he "suffered a medical condition" and lost control of his SUV, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The SUV hit an unoccupied parked van, then rammed into light pole.

McGill, of Wesley Chapel, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he died.

FHP said the van, which belongs to William and Dawn Coultas of Wesley Chapel, was properly parked when the accident happened.
