Woman, 30, hospitalized after one-vehicle crash in Dunedin

DUNEDIN — A 30-year-old woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injures early Monday after a single-vehicle crash.

Pinellas County deputies said it happened about 1 a.m. at 1250 Main St. A Dodge Durango headed west on Main Street, which is State Road 580, crashed into a water meter, a concrete retaining wall, a utility pole, palm tree and an Amscot building before stopping.

The driver, Dina Bruemmer, of 2852 Whitehall Drive in Palm Harbor, was taken by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center.

Deputies cited speed as a factor in the crash.

SR 580 was reopened at 8 a.m.
