LAND O'LAKES — A 67-year-old woman died Saturday night after colliding with another car on U.S. 41.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman, Patricia Ann Flanagan of Land O'Lakes, was driving north on U.S. 41 around 9:15 p.m. when she neared the intersection with Bell Lake Road and failed to notice that the two cars in front of her had slowed to make a right turn.
She crashed her Jeep Cherokee into the first car, a Hyundai Genesis, propelling it into the rear of the second car, an Audi A-4. Flanagan, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
The driver of the Genesis, William Robert Hock, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious injuries, troopers said. The Audi's driver, 39-year-old Jennifer Lynn Hock, was unharmed.
