WIMAUMA — Sheriff's deputies are investigating an early-morning crash in which a 25-year-old woman died after her car ran off the road into the bushes and burst into flames.
Monica Suarez of 5730 Bassa St. in Wimauma was driving west on Bonita Drive near Glendale Road at 2:45 a.m. Friday when she swerved off the road 450 feet east of the intersection and into the brush, Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies said. Her Ford Crown Victoria caught fire.
Suarez, 25, and her two passengers, Julian Martinez, 19, and Alejandro Porras, 20, were ejected from the car. Martinez, of Wimauma, and Porras, of Ruskin, were not injured.
Suarez died at the scene, deputies said.
