Woman killed in Shady Hills hit-and-run

SHADY HILLS — A 54-year-old Spring Hill woman died Tuesday night after she was hit by a vehicle.

Rose Marie Porter was walking along Shady Hills Road near Gifford Lane when a vehicle hit her, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. She was thrown to the side of the road, where she died.

The vehicle drove away; officers don't know the identity of the driver.

The Florida Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information about the incident to call (813) 631-4020.
