Hillsborough deputies search for missing Seffner woman

SEFFNER — Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies were looking Thursday for a 54-year-old woman who hadn't been seen since Wednesday morning.

A neighbor saw Catherine Marie Schaefer, of 11416 E U.S. 92, Lot 11, in Seffner, walk away from her home at about 7:15 a.m., leaving the door open.

Deputies said Schaefer is taking medications that she did not take with her. She also left her cane and glasses behind.

Schaefer is 5 feet 4, about 95 pounds, with red or auburn hair, hazel eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue sweater and white tennis shoes.
