Clearwater pipe break slows traffic on Gulf to Bay Boulevard

CLEARWATER — A water pipe break has occurred along Gulf to Bay Boulevard near Orion Avenue just east of Keene Road.

Clearwater's public utilities department is shutting down the line for repair, the city said Monday. A contractor working in the area accidently struck and damaged the pipe.

Workers are planning to shut down the curb lane of westbound Gulf to Bay Boulevard, the city said. Drivers can use Drew Street as a detour. Customers may experience low water pressure until the pipe is repaired.
