A Coast Guard crew rescued two divers stranded in the Gulf of Mexico off of Tarpon Springs on Saturday.

The divers surfaced and could not find their boat about 11:30 a.m., according to the Coast Guard. They both wore flotation devices and one carried a handheld radio, precautionary measures that the Coast Guard credited in a quick rescue.

Members of the Coast Guard reached the divers by boat shortly after noon about 20 miles west of Anclote Key Preserve State Park.

The divers were not injured, according to the Coast Guard.
