Courtney Campbell Beach again safe for swimming

It's safe to go back into the water.

The Pinellas County Health Department has lifted its advisory for Courtney Campbell Beach, which went into effect after enteric bacteria was discovered in routine water tests on June 29 and July 1. Such bacteria is dangerous to humans and could have come from stormwater runoff, animals or sewage.

New samples were taken Tuesday. To ensure continued public safety, the waters near the causeway that links Hillsborough and Pinellas counties will continue to be sampled weekly.
