SAFETY HARBOR — A 17-year-old girl was seriously hurt while walking across McMullen-Booth Road, but officials said her injuries are not considered life-threatening

Angelina Morales, of St. Petersburg, was flown by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Two lanes of traffic on McMullen-Booth Road remained closed Monday evening.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said that at about 4 p.m. Monday, Angelina was walking east across McMullen-Booth Road at its intersection with Enterprise Road. She was struck by a Plymouth minivan driven by Mark Knab, who was heading north.
