53-year-old Land O'Lakes man accused of molesting 9-year-old

LAND O'LAKES — A 53-year-old man told deputies he molested a young girl for years because he was "lonely," a Pasco County Sheriff's report states.

Douglas T. Frayne, who runs an assisted living facility along with his wife out of their Stonegate home, was arrested Monday. He was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation involving a defendant older than 18 on a child younger than 12.

The incidents of fondling began in 2009 and continued until April, the Sheriff's Office said.

The girl is now 9.

Frayne, of 2730 Blueslate Court, was released Monday from the Pasco jail on $50,000 bail. He declined to comment to the Times on Tuesday. He and his wife, Shiela, a certified nursing assistant, own Shiela's Home Care.
