NEW PORT RICHEY — A 28-year-old woman was arrested Monday after she broke into a home and took a bath fully clothed, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident took place in a home in the 8500 block of Pilgrim Court shortly before 5 p.m. Deputies said Ashley Montero broke through the back window and entered the home.

She rummaged through the home and threw the victim’s clothes into a pile on the front lawn, the Sheriff’s Offfice said.

The victim returned home and find Montero in his bathtub, "taking a bath fully clothed," deputies said. When they arrived at the home, they said they found Montero wrapped in a towel.

No explanation was given for why Montero broke into the home, but deputies said a witnesses told them she may have lived there before.

Montero was arrested on a charge of felony burglary. She was being held at Pasco County jail on Wednesday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
