DOVER The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the victim in a single-car crash Friday morning as 37-year-old Gustavo Martinez-Meza.

Troopers say Martinez-Meza, of Brandon, was driving a 1996 Toyota Avalon westbound on E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 3:42 a.m. when he drove through a guardrail and struck a utility pole.

He died at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, troopers said, and the incident remains under investigation.
